It was a perfect day to lead a ride up Mt. Hamilton. It was also my first time. Although Mt. Hamilton is the highest peak in the Bay Area, the grades were not all that steep. By the end I was tired, a bit sore, but not cramped. Not bad for nearly 80 miles for the day. Besides it was great riding with such a nice group as well as all the others met on the way. Including the friendly cow wandering the road that said hi.

total miles for the day: 79.01
~5800 ft of climbing
approximate route

January totals: thankfully this horrible month is now over.
335.30 miles
2 spin classes
rivers of tears

I grew up on the very top of Mt. Hamilton, went to the one room school. Great pictures! =)
